James and Frank Horrocks


Suzanne Monique de Planta de Wildenberg, nee Horrocks, of York, UK has contacted us with news of more Horrocks relatives. Suzanne was born the only child of James Horrocks and Monica Banks Horrocks in Formby, Merseyside on May 29, 1969. She married Frank de Planta de Wildenberg in 1994 and they have 3 children.

James Horrocks (the younger) married Emily Smith. They had six children, two of whom were twins born 6 March, 1922. They were baptized at St. Cross Church, Clayton, Manchester on 2 April, 1922.





James (second from right) served in the Royal Navy during World War II.



After the war James went on to become a mechanical engineer and company director.
He had a son called Peter (born 9 September, 1947) from his first marriage. Peter died in 2008. 
James died at the young age of 56 in September, 1978.

James Horrocks

James Horrocks was the fourth child & third son of William Horrocks & Jane Hunter

He was born on the 18 July 1846 in Whashton in Yorkshire. James Horrocks was baptised at Kirkby Ravensworth on 16 Aug 1846 to William, quarryman, and Jane.
