George Hunter was the son of John Hunter & Alice Sharpe.
He was born in Whorlton, North Yorkshire & was baptised on 25 May 1760 at the Parish Church of Whorlton.
George son of John Hunter householder was baptised the 25th day of May.
George married Mary Handley on 5 Nov 1786 at the Parish Church Kirkby Ravensworth, Yorkshire.
They had four children:
1. John Hunter
2. Mary Hunter
3. William Hunter
4. James Hunter
Mary Hunter died at Kirkby Hill on 9 May 1842 aged 80
